On March 30th Hannah and Charis boarded a plan
for Billings, MT. They flew out from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport late in the evening and arrived safely eight hours later in Incheon
International Airport. After a long layover in South Korea, they flew to Seattle-Tacoma
International Airport where they met Charis’ Grandmother, Donna Holden, who
traveled with them the rest of the way to Montana.
The girls are having a wonderful reunion with the Holden
family. Charis’ little sister is expected to arrive on May 9th.
Hannah and I made the decision to send her back to America to give birth because
we were concerned about how long it would take in Indonesia to acquire a
passport for the newest Porcella. We didn’t want to spend the entire summer break
waiting, unable to visit with family back in the States. I will join Hannah and
Charis in a few weeks. In the meantime, I am finishing up my thesis for
Geneva’s Masters in Higher Education Program here in Jakarta, while Charis gets
to know her cousin Theodore in Montana, and Hannah spends time with her Mom,
her pregnant sister, and her pregnant sister-in-law.
